From the Desk of the Principal

Welcome Back CMS Students and Parents.  It is our hope that your child has enjoyed a restful summer, and that he/ she is prepared for a spectacular school year.  This year we are continuing our focus on "Keeping it R.E.A.L.!"  We encourage our students to always be Respectful, strive to maintain Excellence, Achieve greatness, and to Lead by example.  Each day is a new day, and we remind our students to give 100% in all they do.

This year we are excited that our focus on school climate and student achievement will continue through our incorporation of PBIS and our school-wide "House" system.  We are extremely proud of the District's one-to-one technology integration plan that will allow every student to have access to technology every day.  Our teachers have worked diligently to prepare classrooms that will allow our students to be competitive with students from around the globe through technology innovation.  Additionally, literacy across the curriculum will continue to be a focus for our school this year.

Parents please be reminded that we believe that in order for our students to be successful, there must be collaboration among all stakeholders-- students, parents, faculty and staff, and the community.  We want you to know that our primary aim is to teach and to provide support for your child.  All of our teachers have weekly extra help sessions, and students in need of support are strongly encouraged to attend.  Parents, at anytime you have any questions or concerns about your child's performance, please feel free to contact your child's teacher(s) and/or administrator(s) as needed.  If we work as a team, then the skies are the limit!  Thanks for commitment to your child and our school.

Sincerely,

Cedrick R. Tidwell
